Common questions
What does a session look like?
We’ll talk about what’s going on, clarify what you want to change, and practice skills you can use between sessions. Good therapy should help you make sense of what’s happening and give practical ways to think, feel, and respond differently. It’s collaborative — you won’t be talked at.
Do you see adolescents and adults?
Yes. I work with both adolescents and adults.
In person or telehealth?
Both. In-person sessions in Omaha, and telehealth when that’s a better fit.
How long is a session?
[SESSION LENGTH TBD — confirm with Emily]
Do you take insurance?
[INSURANCE LIST TBD — Nebraska carriers to confirm]. Questions about coverage or fees? Reach out — I’m happy to help you sort next steps.
How do you work — what approaches do you use?
My foundation is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). When they fit, I also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches. We’ll choose tools that match you, not a one-size script.
How do I get started?
Use the contact form or email [email protected]. We’ll find a time for a brief consult so you can ask questions and see if it feels like a fit.
Still have a question?
Send a note — or email [email protected] — and we’ll take it from there.
